I believe that breath- and bodywork are a direct way to a deeper connection with yourself and a valuable tool to invite deep transformation into your life. My lifelong fascination with movement took me from dance, yoga and meditation to proven  body-oriented working methods from a therapeutic approach. As a certified Breath Coach, trained in TRE and body-oriented trauma therapy, I work – apart from the client’s story – mainly with the breath and the body as sources of information. These tell a completely different story sometimes than our heads.

I have experienced this myself. Mentally I seemed to be ok with traumatic events from my past, but my body thought otherwise. Again and again I experienced the same recurring complaints in my pelvic area. In recent years so many physiotherapists, osteopaths and other bodyworkers had done their utmost best to remove the tension from the outside using their hands; No result was permanent. Only when I actively started working with my body and my breath permanent change occurred.

My story

Why breath- and bodywork?

For years I have been looking for methods and techniques to permanently restore the connection with my body. My extensive search eventually led me to breathwork, bodywork and Trauma Release Exercises (TRE). TRE is a natural discharge mechanism and physical method of discharging tension and trauma from the nervous system by means of shaking and trembling. After a few months of discharging for a few minutes every day, a physical transformation took place. From tension, cramping, numbness and hardening gradually arose softness, relaxation, space and more connection and feeling with my pelvic area.

My body set the pace from the inside out, so this time the result was permanent.

When I experienced my first connected breathing session 5 years ago, I realized how much power and potential is hidden in breathing. Within minutes, through the breath, I connected to an intense grief that I hadn’t been able to reach before. A sadness that felt so much older than I could consciously realize, and it felt liberating to let those old tears flow unapologeticaly. Through connected breathing, I was able to connect with emotions that were present on a deeper subconscious layer within me. I connected more deeply to myself then I had ever experienced before.

It is my mission to introduce more people to the power of breath and bodywork. I always work from a loving, centered basis: a tuned and with a gentle approach in which I do not force anything so that the foundation of contact feels grounded and safe. With the help of breathwork and bodywork, I teach you how you can use practical tools in your daily life to bring lasting change into motion and take back control of your body. Not just for now, but for the long term.

In a soft way we create space for what your breath has to say and what wants to be felt. Through conscious connected breathing, I invite you to let your breath flow more freely again so that you can reconnect with unconscious tension and emotions and to release these in a safe way.

Bodywork

Our body tells the story of all the experiences we have gone through in life and stores these moments. Through bodywork I guide you to an increased body awareness, more relaxation, space and more freedom of movement and mobility. If you are comfortable in your body, you are also more comfortable in life.
