What does a body-oriented session look like?

In a body-oriented session we first explore your desires and needs together. Would you like a deeper connection with your body? Do you experience a lot of tension in your body and are you looking for ways to relax your body again? Or maybe you’re looking for practical exercises to regulate stress and calm your nervous system? Depending on your wishes, I work with different methods and techniques

tension & trauma release exercises

TRE (Tension & Trauma Release Exercises) is a practical, physical method to discharge old tensions and stress through natural shaking and vibrations of the muscles and connective tissue. This is a natural discharge mechanism that our body uses to literally shake off the excess stress. When we experience an intense situation, the body can start shaking on its own, perhaps you have already experienced this. Often we try to suppress these vibrations, blocking the body from finishing this proces of discharge. I work with a gentle form of TRE through which we can connect to this natural recovery reflex. Using it to consciously release tension and stress. A method that you can then use in the comfort of your own home whenever you need it.

Somatic Movement is a holistic approach to the body and invites you to go on a journey of self-discovery through gentle, conscious movement. It is a valuable way to get to know your body better and connect more deeply with your body awareness. You learn soft movements that invite you to release tension or targeted movements that you can use to release tension during the day.

Fascia
Release

Fascia Release focuses on the connective tissue layers of our body. In this deeper, softer tissues, tension and stress are often stored. You can experience this as physical pain, limited mobility and a lot of tightness. By using massage balls and soft stretches, we make your connective tissue flexible and elastic again. This allows you to experience more space to move freely and less muscle tension in your body.
